Moving up from a small bungalow, the homeowners wanted the convenience of a contemporary home’s scale and layout, but were disappointed by the ubiquitous lack of character in the available new construction houses on the market. We worked closely with them to give their new home the warmth and charm of their old house, with warm woods, fine details, and classic design, on a scale that better suited their lifestyle.

Carefully considered details throughout the home tie together the larger spaces while maintaining a feeling of warmth and intimacy. Panels, corbels, chamfers, and mosaics bring richness and depth to the contemporary space.
