LH Auctioneers

Having outgrown their previous facility, the team at Leslie Hindman Auctioneers acquired a 30,000 square foot former floral warehouse to call home. With simple, bold strategies, the worn-down warehouse was transformed into a premier auction house with ample space for the company’s specialized teams to evaluate, store, and display the thousands of consigned items on hand at any given time.

Commercial  |  Renovation

Located in the rapidly changing West Town neighborhood, this once dilapidated floral warehouse was revived into the Chicago headquarters of the premier auction house Leslie Hindman Auctioneers. Situated in a prime spot adjacent to the L train, oversized bold signage captures the attention of hundreds of thousands of passers-by. A modern, neutral color palette reflects the company’s brand and aesthetic, and high ceilings and an open interior create ideal display and work spaces for the auction house’s ever-rotating collection.

Tall windows, bright white interior, and clear finish rustic wood floors recall the history of the building while providing the necessary space and light for its new function.

“Before” images of the building show the deteriorated condition of the facade and the uninviting glass block windows.
