Lake View Traditional Porch & Façade
This 1880s two-flat was converted to a single family home, fully rehabbed with luxury interior finishes. The only problem? The facade didn’t stand up to the exceptional interior. Through historical study and close collaboration, the exterior of this home was brought back to life.

Dirty, run down, and derelict, this traditional Chicago graystone home needed an exterior facelift to complement its newly revitalized interior. The limestone was cleaned and tuckpointed, windows replaced, and cornice painted. What remained was the sad, unstable porch. We designed a porch that framed the focal point of the facade and matched the aesthetic of what may have once been, restoring this old home to its former glory.
Traditional limestone column bases ground the porch, while the black-painted columns visually tie together the whole composition.
