Arcus Processing

Utilizing a prefabricated metal building, the new facility for Kansas-based manufacturing company Arcus Processing was a minor feat of design ingenuity. With simple materials and impactful graphics, the company’s new home stands apart as a cutting-edge facility amongst its industrial neighbors.
Project Overview

Arcus Processing

Commercial  |  New Construction

The owner of a local manufacturing company approached us with a unique problem: He had long planned to build a new facility for his company Arcus Processing but was kicked into action when a “great deal!” came along. He had just purchased a 40,000 square foot prefabricated (but unbuilt) metal building! Knowing the bland ubiquity of the structure was not in line with the vision for his company, he enlisted our help to give the building some life. Like a giant puzzle, we utilized the prefabricated components to design a simple but unique structure for his business, rounded out with bold, clean graphics to define the brand.

The south-facing entry is pushed back under the canopy of the building’s roof and outer walls, protecting the office spaces at the front of the building from excessive solar heat gain. Local prairie grasses and flowers fill in the site, reclaiming a bit of nature in an otherwise tired, industrial part of town.

In addition to architectural services, our sister company Emblem Design developed the marketing strategy for Arcus. Emblem provided marketing, branding, photography, and videography services.
